Tactile Memory Game

You will need sheets of paper with different textures: rough, sequin paper, glossy, crumpled paper, etc. Cut two large squares from each type of paper and glue each piece onto cardboard. It is important that all squares are glued onto the same surface so that when they are turned down, they all have the same back surface.

Besides paper, you can also use different types of cloth materials with different textures (flannel, corduroy, denim, etc.).

You can play the game as a standard game of memory or have the child close his/her eyes and try matching the pairs solely based on the sense of touch.
