Find different materials from which to cut a palm-sized piece. The materials should be different to the touch: soft, firm, smooth, rough, silky... You can also use rough cardboard, fine sandpaper, denim. Cut round shapes the size of jar lids and paste them on top of the lids.
Younger children will simply enjoy touching the different textures.
For older children, make sets of two pairs and tell the child to make pairs according to the appropriate materials.
Instead of jar lids you can cut the materials and glue them to the paper (as shown in the video).
