Piggy Bank

Take a metal piggy-bank. Make pennies by cutting them out of different coloured paper. Let your child put the pennies through the hole of the piggy bank. Make the task slightly harder by asking your child to put only a certain colour of paper-pennies in the piggy bank.

You can also write numbers on the pennies (from 1 to 5, or 1 to 10). This will help with learning numbers.

The task can be even more complex by telling the child to (for instance) put three yellow and two blue paper-pennies in the piggy bank, or two fives and four threes, etc. There are countles combinations for you to try out!
