Counting Flowers

You will need one white and one green sheet of paper, scissors, glue, some hook and loop tape and tiny flowers cur from paper. Using the green paper, cut out the shape of a bush or the crown of a tree, and glue it on to a firm surface or cardboard. Cut two slits in the bottom.

Then, using the white paper, make a strip on which you will write the numbers from 1 to 5. Draw this strip of paper through the slits (as in the image – check gallery). Pull the strip of paper and encourage your child to recognise the number and tell them how many flowers to glue on. Use the hook and loop tape to stick and unstick the flowers.
